Email Broadcasting and Analysis

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

How do you know your campaign has achieved its ROI (Return on investment)?

When a user clicked on your email, where did they go next? did they find what they needed?

Which users clicked which offers?

Who opened your email?

How many emails got delivered?

If you are unable to know at least these key facts, by individual email then you need to seriously consider changing your email broadcasting supplier.

Email marketing and broadcasting is about making informed marketing decisions, based upon campaign experiences. If you are not getting the feedback you require, you are simply left with guesswork, which in this competitive environment will leave you and your company behind the competition.

Email Broadcasting vs Email Delivery

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

When companies select an ESP (Email Service Provider) to conduct their email broadcasting, they should be aware that not all companies are the same. Sending an email is not the most difficult of tasks, most of us on a daily basis use outlook or hotmail.

However when conducting an email broadcast of thousands of customers, every email that is not delivered is potential business lost.

Email delivery is the current battleground for good ESPs, getting your email broadcast not only delivered, but into the inbox is the main requirement.

SPF, Sender ID, Domain Key, DKIM, Sender Score, IP Reputation, ISP Relations, UK Servers all have varying degrees of importance when getting you email broadcast delivered. 247EmailData.com pride ourselves on achieving maximum delivery for our clients, make sure whoever you use, you are aware that you are not losing valuable orders due to spam filtered emails.

What is an Average Response Rate from Consumer Email Lists

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Well in short, there isn’t one. Every campaign is different, every data selection is different, every creative is different.

What is the average response rate from consumer mailing lists? is probably the single most common question when purchasing data. However as mentioned every aspect of every campaign is different.

Depending on the value of your product or service, you can also classify the success of your campaign differently:

For example a client who uses our consumer email lists regularly. Broadcasted over 200,000 records, this produced a response of just over 3% click throughs. The client was very happy with the result as over 50% of the click throughs went on to purchase a high value product.

This is in contrast to another client who sent just over 5,000 records and achieved over 25% click through rate, however failed to convert the required visitors to orders.

The best advice is to test, test, and test again. Learn from your campaigns, what are your target response rates. Use offers, use targeted consumer email lists, use different creative all have a valuable input into response rates.

How can I select the most appropriate Business Email List

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

The simple answer to selecting the most appropriate Business Email List, is to understand who is your ideal customer.

Email lists have come a long way over the last couple of years, and most emails can by selected by line of business or SIC (Standard Industrial Classification), with extra size of business selections such as number of employees or turnover. Also just because you are sending an email don’t forget regional selections by town or postcode. All combined will provide a very targeted and accurate list.

New business email lists are now also coming to market, where specific job titles are available, this will allow you straight into the inbox of particular decision maker contacts, this can be an excellent way to get your message accross.

Business Email Lists - Generic or Contact Emails

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Genuine opt-in business email lists comprise of two sorts of data. Generic or Contact Emails.

Generic data is in the form of info@ or sales@ some incorrectly assume these are always poor quality, although it is fair to say historically this has been the case. When collecting data via telephone research small SME’s and sole traders often supply a generic company email.

When generating business email lists from larger organisations, a generic email simply would not get passed to the correct contact. This is where contact emails come in to their own. Very difficult to collect, however if you have this contact email, the true value of email marketing comes into it’s own. Decision makers are notoriously difficult to contact via traditional telephone methods, where emails can cut through the office bureaucracy to arrive in front of your chosen contact.

Credit CardWorking for one of the UKs largest financial institutions, 247emaildata provided a managed campaign that used all our component parts to produce a high successful and profitable campaign for our client.

The aim of the exercise was to produce extra credit card sales to both existing and new prospects. Using our delivery system, would allow full tracking and analysis of campaign results, whilst also ensuring maxiumum delivery of the emails into the inbox. Already a significant advantage over their current maketing / supplier situation.

To target new prospects we used our own consumer email list, containing over 11 million opt-in users. The criteria was chosen from over 400 different categories to identify the most likely to purchase and be accepted for the credit card.

Both email marketing campaigns, despatched to both customers and prospects, were then scheduled for delivery at the optimum sales time.

The well targeted approach, coupled with the excellent delivery system, produced a highly successful result, in fact the most successful campaign conducted to new prospects with this product. Conversions were good to with over 30% of all respondents proceeding to complete full applications.

Getting the most out of Consumer Email Lists

Monday, May 12th, 2008

When contacting prospective consumer email lists it is important to identify and target your potential market.

Targeting and segmentation are the foundation of any successful email marketing campaign, and should provide you with the consumer email most likely to purchase your product or service.

Traditional marketing methods, due to the more excessive marketing costs, have used multiple selections to identify their chosen prospect, for many years.

Consumer email lists can be broken down by many attributes, and some are more relevant to your product than others, some examples include, Age, Income, Household, Hobbies, Interests, Holidays, Financials etc.

When renting email lists remember that the more accurately you target, the better your ROI. (return on investment)
